RFID Container Tracking Award

Our organization’s ‘4rC RFID enabled Container Tracking’ project has been selected as one of the InformationWeek EDGE winners. Our installation has been shortlisted as one of the top 100 projects from over 200 nominations.

As one of the EDGE award winners, Allcargo Global Logistics our esteemed customer received this award, in the presence of some prominent people from the CIO community and the elite of the Indian IT industry. This event was hosted recently at The Leela, Andheri Kurla Road, Sahar, Mumbai (Near International Airport) on October 25th, 2013.

i-TEK RFID tags for ETC India

We are pleased to announce that we have received the approval certificate from ARAI for our RFID tag for ETC Complying to technical specification as per MORTH notification GSR 207 (E) F NO RT-11028/16/2011-MVL dated April 08, 2013 and MORTH resolution F NO H-25011/4/2011-M&P (Toll) VOL.II for the fitment of RFID windshield tag in all M & N category of motor vehicles manufactured in India from October 2013.

We are happy to announce that our application for RFID tag approval for ETC as per specification of MoRTH Resolution has been registered with ARAI. i-TEK is confident to be the first RFID system integrator in India to get the compliance certificate for its RFID tag for ETC.

RFID for ETC

Update:

1.       On April 08, 2013 the MORTH has issued a notification no. G.S.R.207 (E) for fitment of RFID tags on vehicles for Electronic Toll Collection (ETC).

2.       It notifies that categories M&N motor vehicles manufactured after October 2013 shall be fitted with RFID windshield tag as per the specification mentioned in resolution H-25011/4/2011-P&P.

3.       It is decided by the SIAM members that such a RFID windshield tag shall be certified for technical compliance by an independent 3rd party.

4.       ARAI, Pune has come forward with the test procedure and the RFID tag suppliers are submitting their tags for compliance certification.

5.       i-TEK has partnered with leading tag / chip manufacturers to develop and supply the RFID windshield tag to the Automotive Manufacturers in India for Electronic Toll Collection (ETC).

Electronic Toll Collection through RFID

Hon’ble Union Minister, Dr. CP Joshi on Wednesday has commented on the Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system, that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) in India will deploy the ETC system based on RFID Technology on all national highways in the country by 31 March, 2014. Further he has stated that “The RFID technology shall expedite the clearing of traffic at toll plazas, and eliminate the need for carrying cash”
